Announcement for April 12, 2010:

Dr. Nolan Littig:

"Greetings heroes. This is Dr. Nolan Littig speaking. I am here with an announcement that may very well have a positive impact upon our little group that was announced some time ago. Taranis -- I am sure some of you may know -- has been selected as one of Respond and Protect's new leaders. His knowledge, experience and determination has caught our attention and left us to decide that he is a wise candidate in becoming one to hold a leadership position for this team. With Taranis heading Respond and Protect, we may find there to be a positive role model for younger heroes to look up to."

"However, he will not do this alone. There are others being evaluated to take on other positions as leaders. Few were up for consideration, but they slipped through the cracks. These leaders will serve as mentors for heroes and become people that many others may seek guidance from. I urge you all to help each other as much as you can as times have become quite overwhelming. That is all from me.-- Taranis?"

Taranis:

"Greetings fellow heroes! I am Taranis. I arrived on your planet Earth only three months ago and here I am, accepting a position that I have thought of never reaching again. I have met many people while living here, many becoming close friends. I am honored to be chosen as one of the mentors for Respond and Protect and I will do my best to not let anyone down. I will be here to show young heroes the right way and offer advice to those seeking it. Let us work together in keeping your home--our home safe."


Out of character:

Respond and Protect is pretty much the official super group for CORP and CRP. There is no theme. However, there IS reason behind the forming of this team. A sociologist by the name of Dr. Nolan Littig took the time to get permission to form this group in order to perform a social experiment. Dr. Littig is looking to study the effects and benefits of complete strangers working together. He wants to study the differences in personalities, backgrounds and see which people will step up to be “leader” like. So yes, in a way the people who join R&P are lab rats, but they don’t actually know this.


R&P is open to anyone and every one of both the CORP and CRP channels, plus people who aren’t in either! People are allowed to use the SG as their main group or they can use it for a place to put their alts. Looking for a super group that fits your character but having trouble finding one? Why not join R&P until then! R&P can be used as a temporary SG till you can find another one that better suits your character’s theme.


Does R&P follow the same rules and guidelines as the in character channel? Why no! It doesn’t! It offers more freedom and even allows people to actually RP the way they want. As mentioned before, the SG is used as a social experiment IC and allows heroes of all kinds to join. Have a Superman like character? Have a Punisher like character? Both of these will be allowed to join the same group. Just note that the Punisher style character won’t be limited to having to hide what he does like in the IC channel.


Hope you all join and enjoy yourselves. Everyone will have about the same privileges, so if you need an invite just ask around and anyone in the R&P SG will send an invite your way.



Update for April 12, 2010:

Respond and Protect is becoming more mainstream! Events for the SG will be planned often to bring people of the group together for more RP. Much of the previous OOC statement will remain true, except now there will be actual people leading the group into a certain direction (the first main leader being Taranis). New RP days are being introduced for members to have static rp times to rp together. If the group does well with active members, OOC events will be considered such as the SG throwing Costume Contests.

RP days and times:

Thursdays: 5 PM PST/ 8 PM EST
Saturdays: 3 PM PST/ 6 PM EST

Members of Respond and Protect will need a costume slot saved for the SG uniform. Actual design of the team uniform is pending, however the SG colors are: baby blue and white (colors subject to change). The blue used is under the first column, 6th row and the white is the very first choice.

Members of Respond and Protect ICly receive a salary for joining the group should they choose. This is to help those who want to be full time heroes and won't need to bother with civilian jobs in order to keep the bills paid!

People can invite others go outside the club to rp, even they meet in the club.

I don't see problem here.

R and P is still going on yeah. All RP I've had with its members has been outside the Club, though they may occasionally go there.

That's good. I might be interested for my main character. Gotta contact Reldin sometime.

And what I meant when I said temp, as in he said people who haven't found a SG/group to RP with but might sometime later, and I haven't so I was interested.

I'd assume that would be okay.

Yus! Just let me know or just post on here if you need an SG invite to R&P. We have quite a few people who can send invites to those that need it.

While this SG might not be perfect, I believe that it would give alot of interesting RP so count me in, Ill join with a char called "Miarin", Basically some sort of intergalactic bountyhunter/treasurehunter/explorer in a specially designed powersuit.

Just one question though, when are you guys most active?
